Official Intro & Apology

Post by goose » Tue Dec 14, 2010 10:17 am

Hey all,

Just wanted to A) say an official Hi, and B) apologize for all the questions so far, and for the questions to come lol!

I value and appreciate inside info from people who've already taken the plunge when making mods, as i've made some seriously costly mistakes in the past. I'm attempting to take a more concidered approach this time round, so there may be a bit more polling of choices.

Things I have on my list of "to do's" are:

Air intake, Down pipes / hi-flo cats, Coilovers, Spacers, Short Shifter, ARB's, Remap, Brake upgrade, RS4 grille, Mats, Ali mirrors, etc etc etc, and maybe some new rims!

Cheers for now,

goose :D

Welcome and you can cross out the air intake mod. Unless of course you wanting to suck in hot air....

even the carbonio? i understand that normal cone filters suck the hot air.. even with the heat shields like the evoms v-flow and stratmosphere hyperflow. but thought this would be ok?

The Carbino sits right next to the Aux rad/heat exchanger. Best off with just a decent panel filter. Plus S4s use the same basic airbox design, minus the flap on the base, as the RS4, which revs higher and breathes deeper, so is more than capable.

If you really wanted to do it, JHMotorsport do and Aux rad delete kit which replaces it with a high performance cooler in the front grill. That then frees up plenty of room to make a custom induction kit.

Lots of hassle for little or no gain over the OE gear though.
