Pad Upgrades - Suggestions

I'm guessing a lot of you blokes have swapped your std pads for aftermarkets (given the amount of dust from the OEM ones!), and was curious to know what people are running?

I ran EBC Reds on my modified R32 and warped the stock disks as the reds ran bloody hot on track, and the std disks couldn't dissipate the heat fast enough.. new drilled and grooved disks and a new set of reds later, they were superb

Also use Ferodo DS2500's on my track toy, but I'm not sure they make a set for the S4??

Cheers,

goose

apparently DS2500's or DS3000's according to MRC, that's what I am looking at in January :-)

I don't think the Ferrodos have pad sensors? So I went for EBC yellows

How are the yellows? I thought they might be a bit to "track" for everyday use.. i heard they take quite a while to get some heat in?

plus i dont fancy monkey'ing my disks again

Yellows are fine - I had them on my Impreza but the brakes on there were poor so I can't give a good review.

There was no need to warm for them to work (like the Reds) but they were noticeably better when warmed up.

Yellow suffer on light cars, but on big heavy S4s they bite really well all the time, plus very low dust. I'd defiantly get them again
