Hi all,

The colour-coded metal cover on my drivers side door handle rattles a little.. you only notice it when grabbing it to open the door, or when shutting sometimes you hear a very slight tinny vibration. Is this normal on these cars?

And if so, is there a simple cure... thin layer of card/blu tak under the cover?? (or something a little less Blue Peter )

This has been a problem for some on the B7 RS4 forum, suggest you do a search for the thread.

I had it on my B6 S4. You just need to slide the clip that holds it on back into place.... but you need a thin blade or something like that and a cloth to protect the paintwork.

I use my credit card every couple of weeks, lost the cover once whilst driving, 13 for replacement plus spray
