According to the checklist is doesn't need changing at all just checking for leaks every 20k miles. I have a service checklist but cannot fathom how to attach the pdf. Everytime I try to open the file the extension is php and not pdf. :?:

Don't know how often it is recommended by Audi. But to avoid issues I guess every 120000km is a good balance taking into account that it is neither very expensive nor complicated to do.

The check list states it does not replacing at 1350,000km, just inspect for leaks. Seriously is there a need to replace the oil if the stealer are not looking to make a quick buck?

I won't disturb it yet then, just doing an oil change soon and thought I'd check and do it whilst I've got it on the ramp.

In both cases the oil goes into cycle of heating then cooling. An S4 is for sure less stressful than a Nissan GTR but it is a car that weight a lot and with a good amount of power. So for me at some point you cannot expect the oil to have the same quality as new.
120000Km is probably conservative but as it is not an expensive operation, it is worth being a bit proactive, like you may change the motor oil more often than the expected 30000km service.

This is obviously a point of view. :beerchug:
