Hi
I'm new to RS246 it's great to find a forum that is centred around UK owners!!
Anyhow, I have a B6 S4 done 61K and I've notices some slight smoke on start from the passenger side exhaust more than driver side.
I must add I don't get to drive the car as often as I did so it sits from Monday to Friday !
Could it be expensive ??!!!
What should I check ?
Cheers

It could be the valve stem oil seals leaking or a whole myrid of reasons ranging from the "oh that's reasonable" to "HOW MUCH....!"
Check for high useage, difficult really because the 4.2 V8 does like its oil.

Could be something as simple as a failing coil pack or plug.
You could check to see what condition the plugs are in on that side

just ordered 8 coils after I was having misfires on three cylinders.....and lots of smoke on one bank.....should cure it...OEM Bremi variant, £19 per unit...result..

...plus got a set of Denso plugs in the house to pop in there....just to be on the safe side....

Bluenose7467,
Where did you get the coils from at that price?
That's a cracking price!
Cheers

my mate runs garage and he ordered them for me...want me to get the number for the guy he orders them from...?...there are two types, Bremi and A N Other...both are used by VAG and the guy says it doesn't matter which ones you use as VAG just use what they are supplied at the time....most however do seem to have have Bremi.......
