They're NA V8s mate. The car will fall apart around the engine before it fails (serviced correctly). I'd read that 95% of V8 scrapped in America had covered 100+k miles without ever having the heads lifted. i.e. They had early retirements with still many miles yet to give.

Thats why the first thing you do is get it off the variable service, obviously works for Audi as either they get a lot of repair work or someone buys a new one..
