I have my latest problems with the car which I need to have fixed before I go to Germany on Friday and I think they may be connected. I have ordered a new temp sender in the hope it will clear both faults.
There are no problems with the gauges or fans and the engine is running fine. Whenever I clear them both DTC’s come back at the same time.

I have looked on Ross Tech Wiki but I can't find any details regarding the lambda codes.

6 months of ownership but one day the car must be clear of faults???

Hi,

Looks like the pre-cat Lambda sensor on the drivers side has expired. "B1 S1" is Bank 1 ( driver side) Sensor 1 ( pre-cat). It's not likely to be the plug and socket in the engine bay, although it may be worth unplugging and re-fitting. It's the left most plug on the rear left of the engine bay, at the top of the bulkhead.
I had to replace the B2 S2 lambda last week and then the next day the B1 S2 went. They should last 50-60k.

I haven't replaced any pre-cat sensors, but it shouldn't be difficult, so long as you can get access. I have custom downpipes and sports cats and the pre-cat sensors look a bit difficult to get at. I think the OEM sensor position is easier to get at.

BTW, got replacement sensors from Gendam.

I replaced the temp sender the other day and it has cleared a couple of codes but not the temp sender (G2) code for some reason.
I have also found this far left bulkhead plug you mention for the lambda is not clipped to the bulkhead as the clip has broke and it is in free air. I will check that first and look into getting a new lambda this afternoon as I need to have it done before the morning.

Thanks nihc for the diagnostic regarding the Lambda position you're a life saver. I spent about £300 on parts to get everything done. I managed to get the car totally fixed at 21.30 the night before I left for The Ring.
The first time the car had been faultless for 6 months and it didn't miss a beat all weekend. The weather was great and I managed to get a few decent fast laps in.
I'm loving the car more than ever now I have not got to worry what's going to happen next.
It sounded fantastic keeping around the rev limit and that is with standard pipes. Brakes were faultless all weekend too and with the fresh DOT5.1 in I didn't get any fade. I could of been a bit braver but as I was new to the track I didn't want to crash. Fastest time bridge to gantry was 10.06 but that was with yellow flags out. Could easily of done a low 9 if I knew the track layout.

Good work mate, forget the records 10 min is still not a bad time. You're not out to break your car or yourself, anything sub 10 is perfectly respectable, at least that's what I always told myself!

I hope to make a trip this summer, bring it on.
