Four wheel alignment

Post by BigAustin » Mon May 10, 2010 9:57 am

Just had my B6 S4 aligned at work.

but upon checking the data with the machine manufacturer, they claimed that the data was the same for the S4 from 2001- 2007

is this corrrect ?, car seems fine so far, just dont want it eating my new front tyres.

any actual data would be good , as I can compare it with the data on my machine.

Well we had an update to the alignment computer today, and I asked the technician about the `98-01 listing of the S4.

He said it was an error on the computer, and that it is indeed the same data for all. :) upto `07.

Had mine done at the stealers a couple of months ago, and the first time they did it, they tried to align using the B5 settings! Then when I pointed out that this wasn't actually my car (I have a B6), they did it with the B6/B7 A4 settings.

I'll dig out the figures if you want?

It would be interesting to compare figures.
if you still have them.

Hi mate,

sorry it's taken a while. Attached are my alignment reports. One is done incorrectly (the one labeled as an S4 97-03!), and has a lot of the values out of alignment, the correct one is labeled A4 [8E], 03-06, Sportsline (this is the suspension type).
