Guys I need help. Local dealer of austrian company "UPsolute" can make chip tuning for my B6 S4 with guarantee of good result and dyno measurement.
Has anyone had experience with UPsolute chips?
Is it reasonable?
Some drawbacks?
Thanks a lot for responce!

Hi,
I've never heard of them before. Bit of a laugh that they have the S4 engine size down as 2226

I don't believe their figures - They state a more than 10% increase for an Audi A4 1.6. Other tuning companies don't bother with N/A 4 cylinder Audi's.
Ask them how many map tables they are changing for their S4 remap. Some tuner either don't alter any at all - so it's not actually a "remap", others change only a few. To be effective about 30 related map tables have to be "remapped".
Be aware that some tuners don't alter any maps at all and just change the overall ignition timing and fuelling offsets, this will increase performance ( if it's done correctly), but will not change torque or power characteristics.
Just my 2 cents worth if it helps.
Cheers, Chris.

Yes I've heard of them - I had an Upsolute remap on a 1.8T A4 (B6) a few years ago, and was fine.

Heard of them a few times, they're a lesser know Revo really, generic maps mainly and even do their own version of SPS

A chip alone on the S4 is a waste of money IMO. It is definitely worth the money if you have other mods. i.e. full sports exhaust system.

Agreed. I had Superchips done on mine, about 20bhp and 20 Torques, no noticeable difference in reality. Shame as it cost me £500!

My B6 S4 has an AMD remap (done a few years ago by a previous owner) which was done after a Milltek catback and Milltek cats were fitted. Feels very different, pulls harder and sounds a
lot better than standard.

We have been able to measure roughly 16 PS on a bog standard B6 S4 in terms of gains and about 15ft/lbs, cars with a decent free-flowing exhaust will be able to gain a bit more, especially if fitted with better cats than standard, but no figures as of yet... however, the difference on the road is noticeable in both cases, if it isn't, then generally speaking the actual gains are below 7 BHP or so...

Agreed, had 200cell cats and full s/s exhaust plus a REVO remap and took the car to 387bhp from 344 OEM and 365 ft/lbs from 313 OEM. Also made the car rev more freely and 10% better fuel economy. If you have a remap done though, have it done on a rolling road so that the remap can be programmed specific to your car, not just a standard ODBII dump / wipe.
