Induction Kit

Post by paulyd65 » Thu Mar 25, 2010 5:12 pm

Hi All,

Anybody know where I can get an induction kit for my S4 B6. :?: Had a google session and seems the only decent kit is from the US as can't find one by K&N, BMC, etc.

Ta.

Paul. :D

Save your money they are not worth it for the S4. Too much heat generated by the V8. Remember just in front of the airbox is an aux. radiator. All an inductin kit will do is draw in hot air.

The K&N filters are oiled as well and this coats the MAF in oil so that causes problems.

Someone on here used to have a panel filter in theirs and it made some slight power gains. Can't remember who it was now? Think they sold the car about a year ago

Not in all cases. I have a K&N fitted, 3yrs now, and not had a single problem with MAF readings. Granted if they are over oiled then they will cause problems. But oiled correctly then they are OK.

Tip: If you are unsure as to whether or not you have over oiled the filter after cleaning one run the hoover over the filter to draw up any excess oil. The same can be done on a new filter to be on the safe side.
