Hi all,
I am currently enquiring into front and rear brake pads for my S4 and was wondering what the differences are betwen the PAGID and ATE pads from eurocarparts and also has anyone used these before ?
The attachment has the price details.
thanks Raz

ATE make the OE ones I think, horrible dusty things
I've got EBC Yellows all round and am very pleased with them

I thought the pagid's were standard? They were on my S3 and think they are on the C5 RS6? Could be wrong though.
As with all make's, they do different grades so some could be crap but the next type could be superb.
Had ebc red stuff on my s3 and they worked well and were a lot cleaner than the pagids. Got standard one's on the s4 at the moment though.

Hi,
I've had EBD Red stuff pads on the fronts for a couple of thousand miles and they are LETHAL. When cold the braking performance is dangerous, IMHO. They work well when hot, but I'm not going to risk my life any longer.
They're coming off tommorrow and being replaced with Pagids.
I was thinking of putting Ferodo DS2500's on from Camskill
http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php? ... 4038p53329
as they get very good reviews from everyone, however, they don't have pad wear indicators.
I'm a bit disillusioned with "performance" pads, so sticking with standard as I'm not track racing

BTW, regarding EBC pads; I read a post from the new owners of EBC ( after I bought the pads) admitting that some of their brake compounds had been rubbish in the past and appologising for it. But, he said that pads manufactured after Feb 2009 would be good. It hardly inspires confidence.
I would stay clear of EBC. The Ferodo DS2500 pad is supposed to be brill, according to the RS4 guys and others, but not for me at the moment.
