Unfortunately i had to get public transport from my house up to Banbury to pick the car up, but i think that actually made it feel even better!
Doug has been through the car with a fine-tooth comb and i can safely say the car feels SO much better for it. New clutch and flywheel, fresh coolant, oil and air filters, cam cover gaskets, and so on.
Don't you just love it when you get a car back from service and you can actually feel the difference?
Totally pointless post, just very happy to get the car back!

Good to hear you're very happy, makes it all the more bearable in terms of cost
Out of interest, how much was a clutch and flywheel to get fitted? (and had it done many miles?)

8 hours @ £58+vat
Clutch was about £250, flywheel was about £600 i think including the bolts and so on.
All genuine Audi parts.
Just bought the car two weeks ago (knowing it need various things, including the clutch) at 67k miles.
Bought it in Birmingham, drove it straight to MRC at Banbury and got a lift home

Eeek, thats near on £1,500k for a full replacement. Just as well you'd factored it in to the purchase.
Enjoy the car, I love mine even after having it 2 and half years and I just dont know what I'm going to replace it with. It's just such a great all rounder and never fails to make me smile with the V8 rumble

I had the clutch go too after a week, luckily the guy i bought it off paid half. Wish I had got one the lightweight fly wheel and clutch kits from JHM.
