S4 b6 (resonator removal)

Hi all

As the proud owner of an s4 b6, I have been reading the reviews of the miltek exhaust and it seems to be more for improving the sound than anything else, especially without going for the remap as well.

My question has anyone gone tried having there resonators removed (or in USA - "resonator delete", or replaced with smaller custom versions on the standard exhaust? Would this be to noisy or not as loud as the non resonated Miltek?

Im fairly tempted to try this but wanted to know if anyone already has?

Just thinking this would be a vastly cheaper option if your after a better sound?

I've got a full non resonated Milltek and it's not overly loud at all, I'm glad I went for the non res option in the end as I think I'd have been disappointed with resonated

it's not really as simple as lopping of boxes or resonators, doing that work more than likely have bad results like droning

If its an auto , then you`d be better sticking to the resonated boxes.
otherwise it`ll annoy the crap out of you. I`d had enough off non-res milteks after 10miles.
the drone around 15-1800 rpm is seriously annoying.

I have non res MT's in my manual and i adore the sound. It does drone if your ambling along in traffic though, but i tend to just change gear to avoid staying in the "drone zone".

You will pay approx £350 for the front link pipes and the centre sections and then you will need a reducer to go from the 62mm MT pipe to the 54mm Audit back boxes. May as well just get the back boxes as well!!
