I currently have my B6 S4 for sale @ £15,250
fully loaded with usual extras.
I have an interested party who wants to offer a p/x of an A4 cab
1.8t sport manual. which she wants £12k for, worth it ?
fully loaded with similar spec to the S4.
anyone heard of any probs with A4 cabs with 1.8t ?
I would sell it on again, as I really want a B7 S4, the B6 just came up at the right money, at the right time.

I hope you don't mind me saying but I think you may be a little high on price. Mine doesn't have ALL of the goodies yours has but it has less miles and I'm struggling to sell mine at £13k. Had loads of time wasters so far which is doing my head in.

AN 04 should sell for around about the £13k mark, as Shagga mentioned. Not being funny or smart...

Don't suppose you could convert it to an Avant could you mate?! Other than that it's the exact spec I'm after!!

It may sound silly but £13k sounds too cheap to me.
A potential buyer may be put off , because it sounds a bargain , so must have something wrong with it.
I priced mine at £15,250 knwoing full well I`d have to drop it by £500 or so. I wouldn`t want to sell it for £13k, as it debases the market. Aim high you may do better.

I know what your saying about debasing the market, im selling my car now and its priced higher the most that are similar and I refuse to go lower, but the interest is still there
To be honest I think high 14s is a fair price as most are undervaluing at the moment to try and sell quick. Good luck mate, if I shift mine this weekend I may even make you an offer as its the spec ive been hunting for, for a while now

Yep, high 14s is right pricing. I would be wary of buying such a car too cheap; Unless I knew the owner
and they did indeed want to sell quick purely for financial reasons. Otherwise alarm bells sound in my head.
Especially when a B7 will set you back 16 or 17k on an `05 plate.

What is wrong with being realistic about what price can be acheived? I have another car that I want to buy and don't want to miss. My car is not specced to high with no full leather, satnav or Bose. Hence the price. If you want to advertise yours for £15k then fine but don't pre-judge other people who are selling their car cheaper than yours!
Sorry to say you are not going to be able to "manage the market" for fast Audis by a couple of you clubbing together and saying you think they are worth more than people may be willing to pay for them.

I`m not pre-judging anybody, but as you haven`t sold yours yet; it may be that it is perceived as being too cheap by potential buyers ?
Sorry if I have caused you offence, Its my own opinion.
good luck with your sale.

Being completely neutral on the subject and having only just recently bought my S4 in February, therefore not looking to sell! I am pleasantly suprised to see that the used prices for the S4 have slowly crept up over the last six months.
When I was looking for an S4, the price on the Parker's web-site back in February was around £12.5k for a good Private buy. This is now up to £14.6k for an 04 plate with 50k miles.
I am all for getting the best possible price, and I hope you all sell your cars for exactly what you want, but if I had seen a car with the same spec only £1-2k more, I would have been viewing it soley out of interest to see what it had over other standard priced cars. However, it would need to be very special for me to justify spending the extra on a car at dealer prices without the dealer facilities. Being generally suspicious, I would assume that the higher price was because the private seller was actually a dealer trying to recoup higher overheads.
My own opinion is that these cars will continue to rise in value over the next few months, so it may actually be worth holding on to them until the end of the year.
