Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to remove the rear seat base so I can fit the Isofix mountings, don't want to pay the dealer to do this.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Pete

Hi

Apparently you can just pull up the seat base. It is held on with those plastic push clips which always break when you pull them apart ( similar to the clips holding on a door panel). You will need a good supply because most will break. The garage I use in Guildford fitted mine and one broke when they were refitting the base. If you need more info pm me.

Hi NYC,

Thanks for the advice, all sorted now. Seat based needed a couple of good tugs by the mounting lugs to come away, only difficulty was getting the torx driver on the bolts to tighten up, if you move the seat back forwards this gives better access to the bolts.

Can you fit these to a B6 as well as a B5? I'm thinking of getting myself an S4 B6 and will want to fit the ISOFIX brackets.

Would assume so as I fitted them to a B7, best phone the parts department and ask.

I fitted them in my B6 S4....although I then removed them and got a conventional kiddie seat. This was four years ago and I struggled to find an ISOFIX seat that sat properly in the rear Recaros.
