they're understated - but in a very classy way

RS 6 is very brutish in comparison

I think the S4 just looks SO complete!! I also think that some of the nice colours you can get them in helps the whole image exponentially as they are sporting colours...if that makes sense.
The RS6 undoubtedly does look like a bit of an animal but in an understated way!

For me the S4 could be better with a bit more power to play with but 344bhp isn't that bad.
The RS6 is the car to have though i think, as long as you can afford to give it everything it needs.

Until recently I didnt even realise they did a S4 with the 4.2 lump, surely they could have put a turbo on it!! Never the less is a lot better looking car than the 6 IMHO

Definitely a stealth car, most people haven't got a clue what it is and it's not that much slower than the RS.

If I see this "perfect example" again I will take pics and post. Make no mistake though it IS that much slower than the RS6;)

I think he might have been on about the RS4? The RS6 would kill the s4 with no problem at all

the S4 IS DEFO much slower than the RS 6. . . its fast, granted, but the RS 6 is super car territory

When you're on the road, there is very little that can beat the RS 6, and if you come across something I bet it cost £80k

In my RS 6 I whooped a brand new R8, in my S4 I got whooped by an Astra Turbo - you do the maths

Not dissing the S4 at all, as its looks win over tenfold with the 6 but I also reckon that point to point on a twisty B road the S4 saloon would put an rs6 to shame. The 6 is lugging around a monster weight and that kills laptimes on a short twisty circuit!
Big up to the S4, and incidentally my second car option if I win the lotto!!

Was referring to the RS4 (B7) having had the opportunity to compare notes with one, the S4 is no slouch. I suspect on twisty roads the S4 may well have the edge on the RS6 but an RS4 would disappear from both of them.

I like the S4, power, anonymity and a cracking sound track in an estate car :D I take my hat off to the person who came up with the idea, totally bonkers..

I would love to be able to afford both, a C5 estate and a B7 saloon!
