can anybody tell me the service intervals (mileage) and which ones are the major services. I am thinking of purchasing an S4 and wondered if mileage was an issue. Whta is the best mileage to look for ??

Mine was indicating it needed a service about ever 16/18k miles, I believe its variable and works it out on how you drive.

I would never trust oil to fully protect for that kind of millage though so always had it changed between every 8-10k miles regardless of the service indicator.

I get approx 18k between variable service on mine, and dont change oil in between, as oil technology has advanced so much I dont think there is any need, but its personal chioce.
If your looking at a S4 check the aux rads for leaks, (ie slow loss of coolant to start with) or service data to see if they have been changed.
Mine has only done 61K so a bit early for longer term issues I guess.

Go and buy one they are Superb cars
