My S4 very ill

Post by Gordobeer » Mon Sep 29, 2008 8:48 pm

Hi new to all Audi, has Audi S4 Avant from march 2008, all was fine until now, very bad vibrations coming from drive, took to Garage to check, was told that cv joint had gone on prop shaft, changed cv joint, now the car is making more of the same sort of noise as before, the sort of clicking you get when you turning, but not turning, when you set fast and hard the vibration is very very bad, if you set off fast when turning, you get the normal light on the dash, for the track control, but you also get brake light flashing/beeping to, then ok again, the dash not the vibrations.

Anyone help please

Hi Gordobeer

Yes, I agree with chunky79 - this sounds very much like the same symptoms I had a few weeks ago, and that did indeed turn out to be a knackered wheel bearing. Here's my thread:

Good luck :)

All sorted now, was the cv joint on the end of the prop shaft, and no i didn't get from Audi full prop with cv joints, just the cv joint from prop shaft clinic in Bradford cost of £135
