... and give your opinions please.
They have done 35900miles, which IMO s far far far to long on anyset of plugs let alone on an engine of a performance nature.
Their is a noted difference between the old and new plugs, it feels alot less wooley, crisper and pulls better from low engine RPM's.
It was abit of a game to change them, easy enough, just afew peripherals to take off first like header tank (no need to drain coolant), and air box + the side angine bay covers.
Your thoughts ???

I changed mine at Xmas after about 45K. They were in a similar condition to yours. I may still have them lying aorund. I will try and post some pics. I also noticed after changing them a marked improvement in performance. I usually do not go so long between changing plugs. I did not fit the OEM NGK plugs. I went for some NGK Iridiums as instead. They give a stronger spark and last too. Probably not as long as the OEM's but then again the iridiums do not have 4 electrodes...!
Did you fit OEM's?

The plug 2nd in from the left is different colour to the rest - by a significant margin. If you can rememebr which cyl it came from and the new plugs do the same, I would be speaking to Audi.

This linky provides a guide to common faults associated with spark plug wear. The third picture down looks similar to your 2nd spark plug.

I replaced them with OEM ones, but i have noticed that they have changed OEM suply. Was NGK (pictured) now Bosch.
Both have the same appearence, 4 pronged.

I think i'llinvest in anew coil for number 2, as when i breifly had the REVO software on it gave number to as having and issue once.
I'll try and find my VAG-COM picture to see what the exact fault was.
