hi guys

anyone know anything about the throttle body ? ive just been told from an audi dealer that i require a new throttle body as it has an electronic defect,
this is the quote they sent me :

Diagnostic charge £114.00 inc vat
labour charge to fit parts £152.75
throttle valve adaptor £784.04( part number 077 133 062 A)
gasket £0.95 ( part number (079 133 073 A)
Total £1051.74

is there a cheaper way to get this done ?

cheers

You could try sourcing them through either

[1] NelsonA4sline on tyresmoke.net

[2] Paul or Martyn at www.vagparts.com

It should save you a bit.

How far out of warranty is your car?

If it was out by only a couple of months then you might get some sort of goodwill from Audi

I'd also think about taking the car to an independant to get it looked at as the dealers aren't called stealers for notting.

I know where there is an B6 S4 breaking in Germany, if you need the TB then I'll ask him if he's got it and how much.
