hi guys

i was driving to work yesterday ( 15 miles ) and noticed a couple of times
it appeared that when i took my foot off the throttle the rev's stayed where they were, but quickley returned back to normal when i depressed the throttle again. it only happened twice in 15 miles and the rest of the time seemed to work perfectly normally.
has anyone else had anything similar experiences ?

cheers

They do, dip the clutch or press the brake and the revs should die quickly??

i did dip the clutch and yes normally the revs due die quickly, but in the two instances i experienced they did not.
they just stayed where they were until the throttle was used again

the problem has now changed slightly,
this time the revs stayed were they were ( 3000rpm ) and wouldn't go back at all no matter what i tried, after a little more driving the car went back to normal
any one else experienced this before ?

Yes, had this happen a couple of times, but only after cancelling the cruise control. It'll just be a slight fault on the electronics controlling the throttle I would have thought, hasn't been consistent enough for me to bother getting put right, but surely a fairly simple thing to correct by your dealer checking the ECU

cheers for the reply pete, ive had the car into audi and they said there were no fault codes showing so they couldn't fix it, could you suggest anyone or anywhere else that might know how to fix it, as audi seem reluctant to
look for a fault that the computer doesn't log
