Service Book - Duplicate

Hi All,

I'm thinking about buying a 2003 S4, but the seller hasnt got the Service Book (all other paperwork is there).

I saw a post on here that pointed me towards ebay to get a blank one rather than one that says "duplicate" all over it.

Question is - how do I get the Dealer Stamp on it? It hasnt been serviced yet (its done 15k miles), but I know that it was originally supplied by Bradford Audi. I havent yet called them to ask if they can supply a duplicate (I'll do this tomorrow morning), but does anyone know if Dealers send these out?

Thanks!

A 2003 car with only 15k on the clock and no service book? Call me a cynic, but...

It's dead eay to get your book stamped up. I had the same problem but on a much higher mileage car. I called audi UK and they told me where and when my car had been serviced. I then simply sent my service book to each dealer, asking them to stamp it in the right place. It took a while as there were 5 different dealerships to send it too but it worked.

Should be a lot easier for you.

What about the price - tell us more.

Audis' time out at two years for servicing so there's something funny here.

You get one month and 1k miles buffer I seem to recall but an 03 is out/nearly out in any case.

Thanks for the advice.

I think I'll give it a miss. Was up for £20k, but too big a risk for me I think.............

Thanks again

what was the seller's reason for not having the service book ? If he/she was a 1st owner and had kept it serviced at Audi for the warranty (stupid not to) I'd have thought they would have taken you by the hand to their local Audi dealer to help put your mind at rest...

..so it does all look a bit fishy.
