Shredded tyre

Well, yesterday I experienced my first shredded tyre. Took a trip to Churchill Square in Brighton - if you have a low suspension car, don't use the car park - speed bumps in there are murder!

On my way out, going over the last hump, I heard a loud bump from under car, so assumed I had grounded it on something, so took a quick look. All appeared fine, so I carried on.

Got about a mile up the road and this rumbling noise started up, so I stopped and took another look. Was on an incline which must have lifted one side just enough so that I didn't spot a flat. 10 minutes later after looking the entire underside of the car over I decided to move again as I was blocking the road.

Loud rumbling now was accompanied by the car wobbling about all over the place, so I only got about 20 yards and then pulled off the road. Took a look at the rear driver side tyre and this time I could see it was flat. Took it off to find the entire inside of it completely shredded :(

Rining around this morning for replacements, cheapest for a PS2 I can find is £215 fitted. Anyone know anyone in the Eastbourne area who does them cheaper?

TIA
Dan

Try the place by the scap yard in Hailsham, Diplocks Way, cant remeber the name. If they are still there, always gave me a good price

Yeah think thats the place that blackcircle.com use. Got a price from them and Ebley matched it, saves me making the treck out to Hailsham :)

£360 for two PS2's fitted. Compared to Kwik Fit thats a £50 saving :D

lol

I live in Westham - Rattle Road is just around the corner and is well worthy of it's name!

That said, roads everywhere seem to be in a rather poor state of repair these days. Takes away from the enjoyment of driving, as I spend more time trying to stay out of the potholes than doing anything else
