B7 S4 pictures

Post by viffer » Tue Sep 07, 2004 10:44 pm

I expect many will have seen these pics already. Guess this is what the next RS4 is going to look like.

IMHO that is one ugly car, but need to see it in the metal to be sure.

Cheers, Richard.

The grill is great, but it needs to look like the one in the A6!
The more often I see the A6, the morer I like it!
BTW, can we have bigger exhausts!?

The next RS4 will be based on the B6, I doubt it will look too much like the planned B7 S4 above. But, I may be wrong....

So, they're going to continue producing B6 shells after B7 production has started (or they're going to put some B6 shells aside) just to produce the RS4?

Traditionally the RS'es are made from the shells at the end of the run....

Hope you're right but I'm not sure. Although they are apparently calling it B7, this car is a "facelift" not an all-new model. It's being launched at the Paris show later this month.

The B5 RS4 was in showrooms while the B5 A4 was still the current model (same for the RS6). Given the lack of info so far about the new RS4, it seems unlikely that it will be ready before the B7 car arrives. So I fear it will be B7 based.

Pure speculation on my part.

Cheers, Richard.

What's the Avant in the last pic? Apart from the wheels I think it looks better than the B6 A4 Avants I've seen (I'm not a fan of the B6 shape).

Hmmm dont like the front, and dont like the back. And the steering wheel spoils whats going on in the middle....

No thanks, I'm off to do some polishing, think I might be keeping mine for a long time.
RS4 B5. Where it all started.
RS6+ Never to be replaced.
Replaced by: 997 Turbo. Didn't like.
Replaced by RS6. I like(d).
Land Rover Defender. Not as nippy.
Back with C6 RS6
And again C7 RS6

Ditto. My crystal ball shows the depreciation curve flattening on B5 RS4s, but it's scant consolation... what am I going to get next?

New M5 is horrible too.

Cheers, Richard.

I always intended to keep my S4 for a long time, and Audi's offerings have not tempted me away from that plan. I think my tuned B5 already generally outperforms the B6 and I still have the scope to fit K04s.

With my new wheels coming, plans to fit SatNav plus and maybe getting the paintwork tidied up, it feels a bit like I'm getting a new car anyway!

Oh dear... the front is, er, what's the word? Oh yeah, I know, it's "disgusting"!

It's just wrong. I don't want one. Going for a drive in my gorgeous B5 (cue for a song?)... I may be some time!

Is this not just a facelift B6, like they did with the B5 back in 1999.

Not saying that i like it, though i guess it will grow on us all (even without turbo's)

In my opinion the RS4 will deffinately be in this body style
| RS4 - B7 | Phantom Black | Seit 2017 |
| S4 - B5 | Ebony Black | Seit 2002 |
