VAG-COM

Post by Al. » Sun Sep 05, 2004 2:17 pm

Hi,

Anybody recommend a way to get a VAG-COM package?

I'd like to reset the throttle body settings on my S4 and the speedos optimism...

Cheers Al.

Yo ucan but it from www.ross-tech.com

I use mine a lot and it recently spotted an intermittent loss of signal from a knock sensor. If I didn't have it I wouldn't have known. I regularly do my throttle body but I've not heard about the speedo.

My speed is within 1-1.5% of true. I've found this by setting my cruise control at various speeds and comparing it with my GPS speed on my satnav. I've also been past some radar speed signs that come back with the same speed.

Hi
I tested my speedo using a known 1 mile 'police timing' marked section of road near where I live. The result was as expected, 60 seconds for 1 mile.

I went and asked at my local police station who were more than happy to assist and recommended the above method, if not just a little surprised at the request....!

I tested mine today at 150mph and it was still only 1-1.5% out.

(p.s. near Munich before your ask!)
