Climate Control

Post by Tiddy » Tue Jun 08, 2004 10:06 am

How are you guys finding your climate control in the new S4? I don't seem to be able to get cold air. Pressing the auto button gives a stream of slightly cool air but it's by no means cold which is a nightmare in the current hot weather. The air stream from the passenger vent also feels warmer than the driver's, even with the temperatures set at the same level. I haven't got the Econ mode selected, by the way.
I was wondering whether the system just isn't very good or whether I have a techical problem.

Thanks.

I'm not suffering from this. I leave it on 20.5 or 21 and it does it's job perfectly. I guess its better for you to have a problem rather than this be normal for S4's. At least you know that once fixed it will be better and that it's not a design flaw.

No problems for me either, in fact I think the climate control is pretty good. Sounds like it may just be bringing air in from the outside without actually cooling it. I'd definitely get in touch with your dealer before it gets any hotter in this country. You could always ask for an S4 cab as a courtesy car while they sort yours out. :bigblink:

Thanks guys - at least it sounds like it's faulty and it's not just useless! Now booked into the dealers but not until next week. Just in time for the weather to cool off, no doubt.

S4 Cab for the day.......Mmmmm :P

Dropped into the dealership today and it's an electrical fault, not operator error!

They didn't have aa S4 Cab for me for next week either! :(
