The six-speed manual box (a Tiptronic automatic is available as a £1,000 optional extra) feels notchy and imprecise, while the fierce bite of the clutch pedal makes smooth changes difficult to achieve

Rubbish. Such misinformation.

Only thing they got right was the fuel consumption, which leaves a little to be desired.

Perhaps they shouldnt have let the tea lady do the test drive?

I was so looking forward to this write up after reading the index at the front, where they say about the monster 420bhp S4. I automatically thought they had one of AmD's stage 3 S4's on test, but no mention whatsoever.

Was I the only one to spot this?
