Stage 1 of the 'butter me up' process began yesterday.
The very nice man at Audi, Nick (is he only nice because he gave me something I wanted? I don't know) called yesterday to say he'd sorted out a bigger car (than the 3 door diesel A3) for me as long as I didn't mind an estate and would collect it from Dartford. No problem, says I. I had to have a bigger car for the kids and meetings.
So now I have an RS6 parked outside!!
Tiptronic Avant, grey with TV. And heated 'rear' seats!
OK, so now I have a superb car to drive while mine gets sorted but see how clever they've been? After all, I've told you lot already.
Now if they can just sort out the extra discount on a new RS6....
Actually, though, it's a bit big looking for me. 'Mean' big, but big all the same.
If I could wait, I'd probably go for the RS4 if it comes.
See, look at me. One minute I hate Audi the next I'm deciding how much more of my money I want to give 'em. Clever b'stards those Germans.

I know you shouldn't have to ask but what mpg do you get on the RS6 on a run I get 20 on the S4 so the RS must be really bad??

Bugger!! How do you get 20mpg on the S4? We are talking the V8 here aren't we? I was getting 15-17mpg.
I am accused of a heavy right foot but I actually get 15.4mpg on the RS6. And it drives like a plane.
I am in turmoil now though. I have been told that they will replace the S4 but I think I need an RS6. I know the purists would say get the avant but I have an image of older chaps with cigars when I think of estate cars.
The problem is the saloon is ugly..! Reminds me of the ford scorpio rear end.
Decisions, decisions. Oh, the wife wants a conservatory but I've told her the RS6 is only a couple of grand more than the S4 and you get heated rear seats for the Mother in law (a fair swap) and a TV to watch while waiting for the kids to come out of school.

I get 18-23 mpg in my S4.
In the RS6's I've driven I got 21mpg all day no problem, so about the same really.
I'd go for the RS6 Avant and really screw the deal to your advantage Wouldn't touch the saloon with a very long pole...oooer
M8 who is a dealer bought a new 'ish' (1k miles only) Black RS6 saloon at a closed Audi dealer auction for £38k and then sat on it for 4 months before bailing out on it. Residually the avant is the way to go..
Sorry saloon guys
