S4 cab-cancelled

Decided to cancel my order today.

Not that impressed with the pics I've seen so far and it's probably going to be too much over the £45k mark for a full spec car and that looks poor value to me to be honest.

Anyone else going for one?

I'm with you on this one. IMHO a large part of the cab-buying concept is the look. I think the S4 cab looks good but I don't think it looks £45k good. And the M3 probably shades it in terms of performance to £££ ratio.

Quite agree Doc.

Other thing with cabs is the rigidity/scuttle shake. The firmer the suspension/lower profile tyre etc the more it will suffer.

I find my current A4 cab just about ok in this regard but I feel the S4 cab will go over the edge for what I consider acceptable for rigidity/sqeeks etc.

My deposit went down today. I'm not too worried if it doesn't turn out to be not what I wanted as the residuals should hold up pretty well. Especially if larger dealers will only get 3 cars next year.

Could be...but the topend of the market is so tricky these days. I'm now really nervous about buying any new car over £40k irrespective of the brand and the number imported. Even Porsche are discounting and depreciating badly now [img]images/graemlins/033102bad_1_prv.gif[/img]
