Looks like the first couple of ex-demo S4's are starting to appear for sale on the Audi website:

Might be of interest to someone looking to avoid the wait for a new one?

Dealers have to keep all demo cars for 3 months, espcecially if they have bought them in on Audi UK's dealer finance package-not all dealers are cash rich you see... [img]images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]

Yeah but if these are pre-ordered customer cars, and not demo stock they can sell them.
The one I drove at Martins Audi was ordered as a customer car and so is not bound by the restrictions of the 'Demo Supply' car deal.
You know, they order it under the name of one of their neighbours, but he magically cancels his order (or simply doesn't take delivery).

The one at Martins will be for sale before September apparently, which is when current orders are due for delivery. Until then the sales manager gets to drive it (its a tough job and all that...)

And how much would those cars have been brand new?

The red avant is about list price, the saloon a little under.

Obviously both have a number of options fitted that push the list price up to just under/over £40k.

If they are ex-demo cars, then someone would have to have more money than sense to pay list price for a car that has been abused in multiple test drives!
