interior spec confusion

After lots of thumbing through the price list, and looking over a couple of cars, I am still none the wiser.
Salesmen tell me that if full leather or Alcantara/leather are spec'd, only the seats get the treatment, and not the door linings.
The price list says the change includes the door linigs too.
So, if I choose blue alcantara I don't get blue door linings like on the S3, and previous S4 according to he salesman.
But what do I get - black alcantara ? leather ?
The demos I looked at had silver nappa, and only the seats were in this colour. Since I haven't seen a standard interior I can't tell if the door panels have changed at all.
Anyone know any more about this?
I don't want to jump into an order until I am happy that I know how it will look when it arrives.
Cheers,
John.

Your salesman are correct.
With for example black/blue leather/alcantara your doors will be black leather.

Thanks for that.
Presumably if I were to order leather/alcantara in any colour combination (i.e. silver) the doors would still be black leather, right ?
The demo cars had the silver leather seats so I assume they had black leather door trims.
Seems odd that the S4 is different to the rest of the range, but I guess it must be a cost-cutting exercise.
Funny thing is, the convertible they had on the forecourt had black alcantara wth alcantara door linings. Makes you wonder why the S4 wouldn't have the same...
Cheers,
John.

Do you really want alacantara?
I would think it will be a swine to keep clean and not as attractive as the nappa come resale....just an opinion...

Gareth,
the keep clean issue is what concerns the wife too.
Personally I think the silver leather would also get dirty.
As Feelou mentions it doesn't get so hot in the summer and is less slippy.
Had the door panels been in blue too I'd have gone for blue/black, but now it'll either be silver nappa or silver alcantara.
I'm planning to go to the RR session at G-force on saturday so will hopefully get to see if others have alcantara on non-new cars, and how it is standing up to use.
Cheers,
John.

Now I'm really confused
Just spoken with the sales person at another dealers and they say it will have alcantara door linings to match the seats. The person even checked, and assured me the demonstrator they drove (but do not have on site) had alcantara door linings to match the seats, the same as the A4 Cab has....
I think I better call someone at Audi UK to clarify. This is getting silly
Cheers,
John.

Here are pictures showing cars with different interiors. On some you can clearly see that the black/blue leather/alcantara has black leather doorsides.

At least you have the option of the Alcantara seat inserts in the UK specs, unlike the RS4

Andy, didn't know that the Uk didn't get the option of alcantara for RS4s.
That'll be why I haven't seen any advertised with this interior then
Anyhow, we've decided to go for an RS4 now, but it goes to show that some dealers aren't on the ball with actual specs of the cars they are selling...
Cheers,
John.
