Hopefully Black, so you can save £450
I actually quite like Brilliant Black and the Silver Nappa.
The saloon looks nicer as well IMHO

£450 is not the issue really M8, but as I've had Ebony before I know what a sod of a colour it is to clean and also to get touched in if it gets scratched/keyed/stone chips etc...
No way the saloon looks better than the avant though

Just had a look at a new S4 Avant at my local dealer today, just over 41k in noggy blue with blue alcantra/leather seats.....
I`ve noticed that the new Racaro seats have had a new design.
Wasnt too impressed as i prefer the saloon, new avus alloys are now 18" which is good and the front grill in now in a grey plastic finish........ overall its a very nice car..... still no RS though!

noggy blue looks great in the brochure but would it be a nono for resale??
any thoughts?

Why would it be a no-no ?
I notice that there are far more silver & black RS4s around than any other colours, and that the Red and blue ones seem to sell just as fast as anything else...
Personally I like Nogaro, so wondered if people think it impacts on sales of current cars, which is the implication from what you are saying.
I plan to buy either a Noggy RS4 or new S4 (when I make up my mind !).
Cheers,
John.

Don't get me wrong, I love Nogaro but some folks-non enthusiasts-might look at it and think.."er...smurf blue!"
Also dealers always talk down any colour that's not the conservative choice when you come to sell it back to them. Hence the need to look at Moro/Ebony/Dolphin etc...safe colours for resale.
At the end of the day you get whatever suits you but I would always say that a 1 year old S4 V8 avant in Moro (for example) will be worth more than one in Imola/Red or Nogaro...IMO

Hey Gareth
Think it was Brilliant non pearl Black - it looked really dark and mean
Normally, I prefer the Avant though, and Noggy blue is the real colour for me as it makes the car look special. Seriously thinking about swapping my Nogaro S4 Avant (Biturbo) for a new Nogaro S4 Avant (V8).....need to book a testdrive for an S4 Avant - anyone know of a London dealer who has got an Avant to testdrive?
Cheers
Mik

Gareth,
its a fair comment.
I've been trying to find an RS4 in Nogaro or Misano though, and they seem to sell like hotcakes. Take a look on Autotrader or audi used list and there are lots of Avus cars, but not many other colours.
Personally I think it is more to do with the rest of the spec (leather, bose, satnav, etc) but it certainly shows which cars hang around.
Smurf Blue !
Cheers,
John.

Mik,
the audi dealers at Basingstoke have a black S4 Avant demonstrator
If you decide to jump, I'd be interested to hear details of your Nogaro S4 Avant, incase I can't find an RS4 to the spec I want in the short term.
Cheers,
John.

The demo car at AG is also a (Ebony) black avant.
Looks very nice indeed, very grown up and sensible

Thanks Dom,
I am already waiting for that one to get to them. The current owner is awaiting his new car apparently !
I missed the chance to view 2 cars there last week because they didn't give me a call when they arrived !!!
Guildford have a Nogaro one, but cloth interior and high price (IMO).
Another place has one due in, but there are supposedly 5 of us waiting to see it when it gets there. Could be a bit of a bun fight
Cheers,
John.

I was originally looking for Nogaro but jumped on an Avus one with only 3,500 miles. Guildford Audi reckoned the colour desirability was in the following order:
Black
Avus
Nogaro
Misano Red
Yellow
Green
