Impressive stuff, nearly a second quicker than super quick M3 on a dry track, would have been more in the wet !

I was hoping it would get its [email]a@sed[/email] kicked by the M3. Instead, now I have a decision to make...do i get the RS4 or the new S4.

Hope the boys at Audi bring out a RS4 saloon or even better still a coupe, then no decision at all, apart from colour!!!! [img]images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Riz, that point is now moot, and may well merit its own forum!

My curiousity a la new S4 was only piqued when someone on the board mentioned the poor fuel consumption : 17mpg IIRC, a very encouraging sign and now THIS?

I feel the need for a test drive coming on. Its the only way to settle the matter! [img]images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

It was a glorious episode of top gear. It was a shame the S4 couldn't equal the M3 in straight line too, but hey we all know that would change in the wet.

But the S4's track performance looked excellent. It appeared very well balanced and composed.

PS: glorious except fot that w##ker Richard Hammond. Calling the new A3 "just a golf" and "uncool". He really gets on my tits! [img]images/graemlins/rocketwhore.gif[/img] And is totally NOT funny.

But what's this? - what happened? Such good news for Audi and I think that perhaps what I have long believed about the Audi S4 being packaged for woolly jumpered middle aged men is bollox and Audi have indeed excelled themselves this time.

Looking forward to a test drive and reading lots more positive reviews from the likes of Evo which confirm that the S4 is indeed "better" than the M3. [img]images/graemlins/beerchug.gif[/img]

I was hoping to see the S4 get bashed, then I could get the idea of buying one out of my head [img]images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]

I am seriously tempted, not because of Top Gear, although that will help the image and therefore the residuals [img]images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Audi have always understated the looks of the S4 - so when the new RS4 comes along (it is coming, isn't it? [img]images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]) it won't be overshadowed by the S4 [img]images/graemlins/jump3.gif[/img]
