Brake Dilemma

Post by 215m3 » Wed Feb 21, 2018 3:57 pm

I have a dilemma about brakes. My S4 has plenty of life left in the pads and discs on the car.

I do have a Brembo BBK custom kit for the car, newly refurbished calipers, new 2 piece disc set, but need to get the pads and hoses(not an issue). I don't plan to keep the car for more than another year so is it worth fitting them and will they add any value to the car to sell? or will it put buyers off.

I fancy upgrading to an RS4 B7 in the future, so wondered if there was any point fitting the kit.

I think you'll just lose the money. The brakes aren't really a huge weak spot. Just my opinion though.

Do it, you can easily and quite quickly reverse it. The hoses are a cheap and effective mod. I do it to every car I have. You'll enjoy the mod and brakes are one of the most effective mods you can do to provide real improvement.
