Running rich

Post by bazzabear » Sat Aug 05, 2017 10:40 am

I say it's running rich, there is no sign whatsoever that anything is wrong - except the error codes.

It has P0175 and P0172, so that's both banks running rich. No symptoms at all, it's running lovely.

Garage has replaced the MAF as the most likely cause, and it stayed away for a while, but is back again now. They also checked for split hoses (but I have no idea whether this was manual, or if they have the ability to do a smoke test.)

Anyone any thoughts on causes, or how to most efficiently diagnose?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

No misfires? Sparkplugs and coilpacks all decent? Hopefully not timing chain / tensioner related!

No misfires, no rough running, no weird noises, in every way except that little light, it seems to be running absolutely perfectly.
