New S4 Owner Wakefield West Yorkshire

Post by djackson1980 » Thu Jul 20, 2017 8:49 am

Hello all, I have just recently bought a B6 S4 Avant from a fellow member and i'm loving the car, well most of all the sound it makes. I have been looking at buying an Audi S/RS for quite a while now and I really wanted the new shape RS6 as the family car but the Mrs put a stop to that and we bought a new BMW X5 a few months back. after sulking for a while first I eventually persuaded her that I need a V8 so here I am.

My first impressions are good, the car feels solid and drives really well, its got 93k on the clock but doesn't feel like it at all. its not as quick as I was expecting! I would say the X5 is actually quicker but that doesn't bother me as the sound is amazing.

I have also got a 205 GTI which is my toy so the S4 will be used as a daily (ish) but looked after well. :s4addict:

Haha, just catching up with unread posts on a Sunday morning with a cup of tea and my feet up and spotted this!

I've owned a 1.9 since 2006 and ran it alongside a manual 2003 Avant that I owned 2010-2014. When I read your first post I did think it would be weird if you bought my old one. But I'm glad you didn't, the guy I sold it to only kept it 6 months, and when it reappeared on Autotrader late last year / early this year it looked a right state, including body damage, shame!

Here's my old one with pics of the 205 reflected in the paintwork

Plus most recent pic of the 205 at the MK meet

Yep still got the Alpine white, 11 years this August, and yes I'm on PSCUK under the same username (although I don't post very much)

306 engined ones are fun! Especially on throttle bodies!
