Should I buy

Post by vr6 lee » Fri Feb 24, 2017 6:33 pm

Sounds a good car but should I take the risk with the issues.

From below link

EML light on, code reader says missfire on cylinder 2,4,6. If you clear code it drives smooth until you floor it then EML light comes back on.

Its just what im after but dont want to be stung with a engine rebuild due to low compression on the cylinders

Oh, you want more?

Misfires might be nothing (coil packs or spark plugs) or it could be catastrophic. Looking at the mileage and state of the car (door blade hanging off, cup holder missing, etc.) it could be a money pit.

Misfire on one bank could be due to the fact the timing is slightly out, and this could be due to to a cam chain tensioner breaking up. Do not touch with a barge pole
