Hi,
Did the tensioner issues ever get sorted on the V8?
I was kind of thinking they would have resolved the issue through failures and recall by the time the B7 arrived?
Just want to work out what is best B6 or B7 for me
Thanks
B6 v B7
Re: B6 v B7
Pretty sure both dos it. The B7 was only a mild update and facelift.
I would be buying this if I was after a V8 S4: viewtopic.php?f=63&t=118323

The B7 guide(s) were uprated slightly but not enough.
JHM sell better ones which are either from RS4s or based on the RS4 design (they have metal parts inside).
Your choice between the two models pretty much comes down to styling preference. If the car has more than 100k the timing service should be done. If not, get enough of a discount to do it yourself.
