As per title, can anybody clarify if there is a gearbox oil dipstick and where it is ?

Is this for a Manual or Auto box?

If its the manual box, then you need to access it from below, remove the engine undertray and the one that covers the gear box. If you look on the passenger side of the gearbox near to the driveshaft comes out you will see a 10mm hex socket I think, the car has to be on a level surface. You remove this plug and the oil should be around the level of the hole if that makes sense.
