S4 B6 Battery light

As above when starting from cold and left to tick over the light stays on, disappearing on a throttle blip but then immediately returning. Once warmed up it never appears at tick over again. Until started from cold again. Any thoughts, battery is new by the way

Could be the alternator, belt, pulleys etc. It's about the age alternators need replacing really. I've just done mine and all other relevant parts.

Thanks, it's not got any worse in 2 yrs so I'll wait until it stays on a bit too long
