Boot option/extras? - B7 Avant

Post by Nyraz » Sat May 31, 2014 8:55 pm

Hi,

I've had my B7 Avant about a week now, and looking at getting some bits, it comes with the folding rubber mat and net, but I'm sure I have seen a large plastic tray that slots in and fills the boot, I wanted to let our dog come out with us and this is the only way I'd let him in the car :)

Also curious on what wheel size anyone has fitted, I'm pretty happy with the split 7 spoke rims on it, but do like the look of some wheels I have seen floating around for sale.

Im not sure what kind of dog you have, but I decided to get a tailor-made boot liner for my X5 from UK Custom Covers in Portsmouth, so as to protect not just the floor, but also the sides, seat backs, and tailgate... from wet muddy paws.

The fit, quality, and service was excellent. It has come in very handy when carrying large objects to the tip as it also has the split in it to fold the seats

No problem.. i, like you, spent ages looking at dog-proofing options, but in the end this made more sense than spending 4o quid on a rubber mat that didnt protect all the boot area... a mate loved it so much, he bought one for his Disco 4.

+1 on that I have the same fitted in my Q7, it manages to keep 4 Labradors in order so would also recommend them

Cheers

The cover arrived today and I must say I' very pleased with it, only slight minor is that the rear section that is supposed to act as a barrier (connected in the door shuts) doesn't reach quite far enough across, but otherwise very pleased with it and just put the velcro pads elsewhere :)
