Warning Light orange Emmisons

Hi all.
I've had a warning light on which once checked out has pointed toward a faulty O2 sensor. On further checks the Lamda's and Cats are fine and all working perfectly. The car has shown up a slight misfire on 3 cylinders 1, 3 and 4 which the garage suspects might be the root of the problem.
I just wanted to ask if anyone had any issues similair to this in the past? I have yet to take the plugs out and visually inspect them. Just bought the car a month ago. It performs well and I have no signs of problems other than the light being on.
Cheers.

Bit of a co=incidence all on the same bank. as cylinders 1, 3 and 4 are all on the left bank (the left side of the engine as you are looking at it from the bonnet - ie drivers side in uk car);
That could either mean a fuel blockage or a air/vacuum pipe popped off. Also check breather hoses.

Hi,
It's worth checking the inlet mainifold bolts for tightness.
There was a TBA ( techinical bulletin) about it some time ago, saying that bolts were working loose/ hadn't been tightened up at the factory.
The inlet manifold is the big silver thing at the top of the engine and the bolts are very easy to check.
It would be worth checking the fuel trims with
VCDS ( vag-com) as that often shows a lot about what's going on.
Regards, Chris.

Could be coilpacks, or plugs, have they been changed? Had the coilpacks recall?

Thanks chris, I'll check the bolts.
Rick_RS4. No sign of any coil packs recall in the service history?? Interesting. Can you shed some light on that one please?
I have plugs ready to do a service.

Phone Audi and quote your chassis number and they'll tell you if it's had them done. If not book it in and get it done.... for free!

Hi,
I've got a set of downpipes with cats from my 2005 B6 S4 Cab. They were removed to fit custom downpipes and sports cats at about 30K.
Regards, Chris.
