B7 DRL LED Bulbs?

The two standard looking bulbs in my headlamp units that illuminate as drl's would look much 'cleaner' as LED bulbs imo. Has anyone done this without problems arising like flickering or the display showing 'bulb replacement'?
If not I'll get some cheap chinese ebay tat and post findings. ebay uk 120871283356 for example?

Yeah I know, but it's so much easier to get a direct experienced answer than trolling through all of the problems encountered along the way (I have been reading before posting). I'm a new owner so exited and impatient at the same time. I bought an Audi (25th car) and it drove that well that five months on a bought a second! With my second audi I want to tinker.
I have resisitors in my garage from my bike led conversions I did so I know led can be a pita.
I see that the trups is a favourite for the interior lighting pack and does look good. For now I only want to start with my headlights.

I got lost in the search results and see most threads favoured to the RS4, which I don't have. You clearly have search skills I lack, but thanks for the link as it was what I needed and I've pm'd for a price.
Cheers

Sorry it was a pmt reply, there's a thread where you can put in your own resistors from RS component s they are about a tenner

Are you talking about the sidelights?
If so, I bought
these and they were fine and error-free for about a year but then started flickering. I replaced them with
these more advanced (and more expensive) ones from the same seller and they don't error either (and they're a better colour match to the 4300 K HIDs - the cheaper ones were a little bluish).

They look like the fitment for the drl switch bulbs as they are a bayonet fitting? ( The bulbs that work from the ignition being on, with the rears still off .)
I've just replaced my sidelight bulbs that are a push fitting (the smallest bulbs at the headlight assembly) with some led ones and they raise fault codes. I have
VCDS, do you know how to erase the led recognition or would I need to fit resistors as mentioned in some other forums?

Resistors - or get error-free ones like I linked to.

Yeah cheers, I'll try the drl bulbs you linked, but I also want some error free sidelight/parking wedge type bulbs too. Are your headlights the same as my B7 using the same bulbs/wiring circuit?

Those were sidelight bulbs. I didn't realise B7s had separate DRL bulbs.

Yeah they (B7's) do, the drl bulbs are on (if selected) with the ignition on. The voltage is lowered to these when the main xenons illuminate so a capacitor needs to be fitted when adding the led drl bulbs as an in-line resistor would generate too much heat. I'd be worried that the heat may affect the interior of my headlight plastic the same way 100w bulbs do when fitted by owners. I'm unsure which capacitor to buy until I've selected a decent led bulb, problem is when you check feedback for led sellers on ebay there are lots of negative/neutral comments so I'm losing momentum with this now.
I've pm'd trups so see what he comes up with for me.
Thanks for the replies
