New front arms

I've just purchased a full set of new front arms. Bit of a silly question but haven't changed the lowers before. The new ones have little plastic tabs in each end of the bush. Do you remove these before or after fitting?
Current car: 2007 BMW 530d touring.
Previous car: 2005 S4 B7.
