Replacement dampers

Anyone know who the OEM manufacturer of the dampers is? I've a feeling it's Sachs, but can't find a Sticker on them to confirm.

I'm looking to do a bit of a suspension rebuild on mine, as the trackday the other week showed that it's all getting a bit vague. Bilstein list B8 Sprints for the S4, but don't make it clear whether that's a direct replacement, or only if you're lowering it at the same time (which is the usual B8 application).

Obviously there's all 342 control arms to replace as well. I'm struggling to find parts for sale online other than Lemforder arms at ECP. Are there other places I should be looking?

Hi,

How's about going for the Bilstein B6 ?

"The B6 dampers are a direct replacement for stock dampers and offer increased performance. They can be used with standard or lowering springs. (If you will be fitting lowering springs at the same time we recommend going for the B8 dampers"
Saw them at http://www.regals-motorsport.co.uk

I have seen a full suspension arm kit on-line from JHM, I think.

Regards, Chris.

B6s would be fine, but they don't appear in the Bilstein catalogue for the S4.

For anyone interested, the cost of replacement dampers from Audi is £94ea for the fronts, £92ea for the rears. That's inclusive of VAT.

Not bad value in my book.

Sorry, no. I got a quote over the phone so didn't ask for them.
