Right I have had a spy about and I have got mesell a Galaxy tablet (7") to replace the original 'kaput' tv/Dnsd shitey thing.

Firstly can anyone recommend good apps to use and secondly will this be able to sync with the DIS dash ?

Is there any specific leads I will require ?

I willl be getting stuck in and fitting in fully but I want to make sure it will all work before I pull the console apart

Now I have seen a few threads but they are 'colonials' and I am not sure how relevant some of ther hardware will be to the UK

If need be I have a good installer near me but if i can do it mesell and save a few quid ( THE TABLET WAS FREE !!! ) I will do.

OOOh And I said I would leave her standard when I picked her up

Well got the new toy today, this tablet is very quick for a little'un. I have ordered a bluetooth OBDII interface and this will provide a connection to the 'Android torque' app which will allow me to monitor the engine from the tablet ( not really required but for less than £15 for the app and interface it would be rude not too ).

I have also ordered a facia plate to fit the tablet into which will be altered accordingly once the tablet is fitted.

It seems the best way to get sound through to the speakers is via the headphone jack plug port thingy into an amp the onto the speakers but it seems daft buying another amp so I am gonna see if I can route to the BOSE amp in the back. There is an alternative using the connectors from a docking station in the dash but I will experiment first.

Will post pics up
