...I still cannot understand why you would remove a sat nav unit - factory fitted or otherwise. I'm assuming the original has been refitted as the advert reads it includes sat nav.

It was definitely a decision factor when buying mine.

Each to there own I s'pose

I personally think the car is reasonably priced as it is - IF it's in the condition as stated by the owner.

Grum71,

So you would pay £12k and then spend the money on the car? Then the car would stand you in at about £15k.

Just checking.

I was just re-reading the owners comments. If it's 'immaculate' then I think it's reasonably priced. If it requires oodles of work and TLC that the owner has overlooked and an S4 enthusiast has taken into account then, No.

Every car has it's sealing price as we all know.

(I'm still looking forward to the owners response....have popcorn left :nodder: )

When looking for my S4, the one thing I wasn't going to budge from was it had to have RNS-E, it's a huge selling point!

Ok, glad I checked.

If the car was mint, myself and the owner would have done a deal and I would now own the car. But I guess he would say that if it was mint it would have been up for sale at a different price, which is fair enough. Problem is we all think our 'stuff' is worth more than it really is (including me). Something is only worth what people are willing to pay.

Selling is 99% about price. The condition merely affects the value. If you price something right based on its condition, and people see it as value your phone will not stop ringing. If you had a mint Ferrari F40 and it was valued at £800,000.00 and you put it up for sale at £100,000.00 you would be signing the V5 over to the new owner by the end of the day.

I don't want the owner of this car to feel bad! I wanted to give him a big pile of money for Gods sake! I thought he was really quite a nice genuine sorta chap. I just can't help thinking that perhaps he is not that experienced when it comes to moving motors on (and that is not ment in a nasty way)
