RS4 starter button

Finally I got it done. Its all wired into existing starter circuit so key start works too....once I had all the tools, sat-nav keys and T8 star key it was a piece of piss...

Can you start it of the key and button, or did you disable the key start?

It makes the passenger get involved with the whole Audi driving experience...!

Yep, you can start the car with either key or button now. Wanted the key as a back-up....not that I don;t trust my wiring..!

Looks very OEM Rob, will those parts fit the B5 chassis?

I don't think they will. They were taken from the B7 RS4 and the carrier that holds the starter and ciggy lighter only fits the newer dash. I cannot think of anywhere it will fit directly but you may be able to squeeze it into the cup holders beside the handbrake..?

Yes, sorry, forgot you had a later model S4 (had it my mind that tyou had an RS6!

Maybe it will fit into the existing ciggy lighter as per Toms effort?

I think so. Tom used a Honda part so I'm sure it could be mounted in several locations.....
