Prior to the s/w my car felt like the throttle operated between off and halfway and that it delivered 0-100% of power over this range. It feels like the s/w recalibrates the throttle so that the power if delivered over a broader range of throttle input. i.e. 100% power comes later than halfway. It's definately not when your foots on the floor but it is further than half way. By doing this it will have meant that a slight movement in your foot which previously caused a jolt, doesn't do it so much and hence the whole experience seems smoother. Whether it does more than this I''m not sure.

Next time I', at my dealer I'll ask if I can take a photo of the CD in question

Thanks Scotty, its exactly the zero response from the last half, say, of the throttle which defines the problem my 03 car has. My 04 car doesn't seem to have the problem so maybe this change made it into production sometime last year?

Its great when a manufacturer claims to one person that something does not exist but has 'sold' the product to someone else! Anyone else had this upgrade?

PS Thanks for agreeing to take a photo of the CD.

Hi Scotty
Could you let me know when this software / firmware was released? My S4 was purchased new - Sept 2003.

Thanks

The software mine had installed was at the end of the B6 run so early '05.

My car is a similar age to yours, actually a couple of months later, so you could definately benefit.
