Take the pee all you want out coz today I don't give a flying feck!

I picked her up today and am made up.

The Milltek/sport cats sounds superb and the power is sooo smooth - all 396 horses of it and simply masses of torque (375 lb/ft)

The seats are the best I've ever sat in. I've done 250 miles today and have never got back from such a day feeling so fresh.

It feels so much lighter to drive than it actually is and is hugely enjoyable.

I've obviously not got to explore all the limits yet but it is totally confidence inspiring.

Today I wear a big grin.

Signed

One Happy Easter Bunny. :D

I'm already booked up for the May evening session at Bedford Autodrome.

Mons ?? Is that some sort of cross between "Mans" and "BigJons". Too much :drink: ??

Nice one Scotty - be good to see you on track with the S4 - I was admiring one the same as yours at Thruxton yesterday (course car) - lovely.

Can you make the PE RR day with it?

Enjoy

No I'm afraid not. It would have been ideal as I want to see what she's currently pushing out.

Congratulations, looks fantastic.

IIRC from the TT forum, you'll be wanting to take her to the nordschliefe if/when the rs246 trip happens

Cheers, Richard.

I've been asked for a bit of video by a few people so here's a quick extract after a run on a friends private runway (or something like that).

Sounds great on that video, congratulations. What sort of a noise does it make at low revs? I'm thinking of finally biting the bullet and heading to AMD myself but I'm concerned about the Millteks being a bit loud at low revs. I already wake my son quite frequently when I leave for work in the morning, which does not please the wife, :bash: and that's driving at 10mph! My gut instinct is that they only really make a difference from about 2500 revs but would like someone in the know to confirm/deny this.

Also, what sort of fuel consumption are you getting?

Enjoy that car. :s4addict: :jump: :s4addict:

The video was inside the car. Outside it's two to three time louder however my wife has said at tickover it's not really too much louder than my Milltek'ed TT. When you turn it on it goes up to about 1200 rpm which is more noticable but at tick over it's not too loud. I'm not sure how far the more basey noise travels though e.g. through walls etc. I'll try and do a vid from out side the car.

As you say it's only when you start applying revs that it really wakes up.

Fuel consumption seems to fit in with everyone else.

Today I drove down the M11 steadily and into the City. This gave me 22mpg. Tonight I drove from the City to Streatham and this was in stop/go traffic and I got 14.5mpg. The journey home gave me 20mpg.

So far since owning the car the average is 18.5 mpg although I sure the continued requests to blip it doesn't help!!

Thanks for the info.

I guess the best way to find out exactly would be to hear one in action. A vid would be greatly appreciated, but please don't do it just on my account. I'm up in Stratford next week so may see if Listers still have either of their modded S4s.

Sounds like you're doing pretty well on the fuel consumption overall. I average around 20mpg but, as you say, could probably do better if my right foot didn't keep getting so heavy.

Went to Stratford, went to Listers , went out in one of their modded S4s, cabrio in fact. Certainly considerably louder with the Millteks, so I still have some thinking to do but there is a definite improvement in the torque curve (as measured by the backside method) with much more torque at lower revs and more consistent delivery right into the red zone. So I'm still sorely tempted... but then I could wait for the new RS4... but then I could do both and hang the kids' inheritance.

Oh, decisions, decisons.

I have to say that Listers were extremely helpful, particularly Ed giving up 2 hours plus of his time just to talk Audi. :thumb:
